Our National Philanthropy
While we do bring awareness about other topics, alpha Kappa Delta Phi’s national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Awareness. During the month of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness month, our sisters unite and dedicate the entire month working on our efforts to do service, raise funds, and give back. Of course, that doesn't stop us from raising funds for our philanthropy all year round!
WHAT'S OUR MISSION?
To raise funds on a national level to contribute to a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating breast cancer
To dedicate at least one Service Event per chapter/colony to Breast Cancer Awareness in October
To provide opportunities and resources for our others to learn and do more about Breast Cancer Awareness.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2020
This year, the 55th Chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi had an informative Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. The campaign was held over Instagram to interact with our audience. We were able to teach our community more about our philanthropy by debunking myths, ways to prevent breast cancer, the risk factors, and so much more. We also sold shirts to raise money for breast cancer, as well as, created a GoFundMe for those to donate to the cause.
Given the pandemic, our chapter still tried our best to raise funds for BCA month.
Through your support, our shirt fundraiser, GoFundMe, and our BCA Ball in the Spring, we were able to raise
Thank you to everyone who donated!
